The Big Recession And An Online Business

By Almir Bojkovic

Many economists have shared the fact that the U.S is in a recession. Actually, the government have not determined whether or not we were in fact a recession until months have passed because a recession is usually described as 2 straight quarters of economic contraction, which is only measured with facts.

I am wondering exactly what an effect of a recession would stress on an online business. If major companies to the likes of Google and Microsoft are experiencing trouble, it could only happen to the majority of us as well. Of course, when any online businesses are increasing their prices or go under, there are more willing then ever to fill that spot. Since everybody can participate in an online business from anywhere in the world, individuals from really poor countries are always looking to work for much lower pay rates when other individuals are no longer able to be competitive.

Businesses that actually rely on retailing services would be the best ones off, my opinion solely. Those individuals have to really watch out for those that profit by investing into such a thing. You can’t really count on your money to in order to earn you money when times are rough especially when we are in a recession.

Whatever the case maybe, be cautious. So what do you think?

Contributor's Note

Many economists have already declared that the United States is in a recession. Officially, the government will not determine whether we are in a recession now until months later because a recession is generally defined as two consecutive quarters of economic contraction, which can only be measured after the fact.

I wonder what effect a recession would have on internet business. If big companies like Google and Microsoft have trouble, it could trickle down to the rest of us. Of course, when any internet businesses raise their prices or go under, there are many more willing to fill the spot. Since anyone can engage in internet business from anywhere in the world, people from poorer countries are always willing to work for lower rates when other people can no longer be competitive.

The businesses that rely on selling services will be the best off, I think. The people who have to watch out are those who make money by investing. You cannot count on your money to make you money in a recession.

Whatever the case, just be careful. What do you think?
